BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT

Grief Support

Dealing with grief is not easy and you may feel that it is not possible to recover from it. The feeling that the pain of the loss will always be with you, will never go away. Many times, you think that you must tolerate the pain and it eventually will go away if you wait long enough.  In this process, it is not unusual for certain memories of your pet to become blurred? They will be some changes and responses to the grieving like reduced concentration, a sense of numbness, disrupted sleep patterns and a roller coaster of emotions.

The purpose of healthy grieving is not to “get over” the death of your pet, but to integrate the experience of a pet’s death into your present life. This does not mean that you are forgetting your pet or that your love is diminished; you will always love this faithful member of your family. There is help and is important that you consider talking to an expert to help you with this difficult time and to help you understand that recovery is the result of a series of small and correct choices, that eventually will lead you to talk about your pet and smile with the good memories.
